What is an auspicious wedding
date?
The use of auspicious wedding date
has a long tradition. The Chinese
was probably the first to use auspicious
date for wedding. The reason for
using auspicious wedding date is
generally well understood but the
idea of what is an auspicious wedding
date is not quite well understood.
The purpose of this article is to
explain what an auspicious wedding
date is.
In our opinion, a date must meet
2 conditions before it can be considered
an auspicious wedding date.
The first condition is that the
date itself should be auspicious
for wedding. What this mean is that
the Stars (cosmic energies) for
the day should be auspicious for
wedding. In addition, the qi for
the day should not be tarnished.
This means that the day should not
be a breaker day (¯}¤é).
A date that does not meet these
conditions cannot be considered
an auspicious wedding date. Using
such a date may incur the risk of
bad things happening in the future.
The second condition is that the
date should be compatible with the
bazi (the 8 characters of the birth
date and birth time) of the groom
and bride. The purpose of this condition
is to ensure that the date is good
for the groom and bride. This second
condition is somewhat subjective
because there is no standard way
of defining compatibility. In our
opinion and also according to many
Chinese metaphysics literatures,
a date that does not clash with
the Chinese zodiacs of the groom
and bride is considered good for
the groom and bride. In fact, it
is not necessary to go beyond this
step to identify dates that are
good for the groom and bride. This
is because any further personalization
does little to the quality of the
date that is good for the groom
and bride because the influence
of the day on the bazi is small.
Further personalization if not done
carefully and correctly is meaningless
and only reduces the number of dates
available for wedding. A date that
meets only this condition, regardless
of the type of personalization use
to identify the date, cannot be
considered an auspicious wedding
date unless the date also meets
condition 1 adequately. Hence, in
general, an auspicious wedding date
must meet both conditions
1 and 2.
At GoodWeddingDate.com, the dates
we provide for your wedding meet
both conditions 1 and 2.
In addition, our good wedding dates
also do not contain your personal
bad marriage Stars. Our use of multiple

Comparing our auspicious wedding

our dates are far better in quality
because Tong Shu auspicious dates

and also do not meet condition 2.
